Healthy Snack Ideas

  • Protein Smoothie – Whole foods sells a great gluten/dairy/wheat/soy free Whey protein in chocolate that is yummy and I have tried the P90X Shakeology which is great
For breakfast I have been making myself a shake since I’m always running around and late for work, this way I can drink it in the car, fast and easy and nutritious
1 cup Almond milk, unsweetened (its gluten and dairy free)
1/2 cup Water
1 cup of frozen or fresh fruit (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, etc…best to stick with berries)
2 scoops of Whey protein powder (I use a chocolate flavor from Whole Foods that is gluten/dairy/wheat/soy free)
1 tbl of Flax seed
Mix in a blender (Oster “Myblend” makes an awesome $30 buck blender that allows you to put all the ingredients in the same thing that you will drink out of)
  • Apple with nut butter  & 1 slice of turkey
  • 2 Hard boiled eggs w avocado
  • Mashed sweet potatoes & Applegate brand chicken sausage
  • Small green salad of choice w hard-boiled egg
  • Unsweetened greek yogurt, 1 tsp pumpkin seeds, and 1 tsp raw honey
  • Edamame
  • Seaweed snack & string cheese
  • Shrimp cocktail
  • Sushi roll
  • Raw zucchini and hummus
  • 3 Strawberries & handful of nuts
  • Cottage cheese, avocado, and tomato
  • Smoked salmon, cream cheese, and tomato
  • Vega bars, Breeze bars, Kind bars
